For the past several years I have been participating in the One Book July Challenge as host. - My specialty has always been digital planning.
This year I am skipping the challenge completely as a host... although I still believe in this concept.
I'm currently using just one small notebook (from Sterling Ink) as a bullet journal along with my digital planner.
I find that I need to have a physical notebook to jot down notes. My brain just works better that way.
Digital planning is a way for me to get a little more creative with stickers, photos, and more. These digital files are available on all my devices when complete and make referencing them in the future much easier. I try to use daily spreads, which are then exported into my Notion journal and the entire planner can be exported as a complete PDF when finished.
I switched my digital planning app in March 2023 to Zinnia. I'm really loving this app. They have built-in stickers and you can create Google Calendar events directly in the app. Zinnia is not free... there is an annual subscription rate but it's pretty affordable. (I have a few YouTube shorts demonstrating the app.)

If you struggle with your planning system, I encourage you to check out the challenge. It's a great way to strip everything down so you can figure out what you really need.
